Abstract: | E-commerce‖ stands for electronic commerce and pertains to trading in goods and services through the electronic medium, i.e. the Internet or phone. It involves conducting business with the help of the electronic media and making use of the information technology such as ―Electronic Data Interchange‖. Chapter 1 will deal with the general introduction to e-commerce. Chapter 2 will deal with nature and development of e-commerce in India which will convey the advantages and facilitators of e-comm. in India. Thereafter the different categories of e-comm. and the barriers to e-comm. are discussed. Chapter 3 will deal with the legal validity and security issues in electronic transactions. Chapter 4 will deal with competition issues in e-commerce. Chapter 5 will deal with particular case study of Flipkart in which first the structure of online retail is discussed then the challenges to online retail are discussed and lastly the Flipkart case is discussed. Finally Chapter 6 will conclude the thesis and author will confer suggestions to reduce the anti- competitive practices in e-comm |
